Lane Community College has an opportunity for you to join its dynamic Leadership Team as Vice President for Academic & Student Affairs. Lane is a learning-centered community college that provides affordable, quality, lifelong educational opportunities to its approximately 37,000 students each year. Serving a 4,600 square mile area that ranges from the Cascade Mountains to the Pacific Ocean, Lane is the second largest community college in Oregon with faculty and staff are dedicated to helping students succeed; with involvement in innovative initiatives including Achieving the Dream, Foundations of Excellence, and the League for Innovation. Lane is looking for a Vice President who will ensure the strategic integration of academics and student affairs and provide support and leadership for: Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Workforce and Community Education, Entrepreneurial Programs, Grants, Institutional Research and Planning, Information and Academic Technology, and Regional Accreditation.
The successful candidate will hold a Doctoral Degree or equivalent terminal Professional Degree and have
six years of increasingly responsible administrative, management and leadership experience in higher education, instructional, career technical and student services experience; two years higher education (full-time equivalent) teaching and/or non-instructional faculty experience; training and experience in higher education classroom teaching and learning, course material preparation, student development, and best practices for student success and persistence. Applicants having primary and/or secondary education teaching experience may be considered. The candidate will also have a record of successful collaboration with bargaining units, faculty, staff and student constituent groups; budget planning and implementation in a cost-conscious and fiscally sustainable manner; demonstrated understanding of higher education instructional and student affairs processes, challenges and opportunities.
