  • Precept Lunch Discussions:  Tuesdays or Thursdays during fall and winter term, locations TBA
  • Schaffer Library: What is the role of Schaffer Library in the FYP?   Whether through formal instruction sessions that a Preceptor arranges with a members of the Schaffer Library professional staff or through the one-to-one exchanges that take place at the Library’s Reference Desk, the role of the Library is to help First-year students adjust their approach to information gathering so that is consistent with how research is carried out in a college-level academic setting. 
  • Writing Center:  Writing tutors are available to work with your students.
    • Sun-Thurs 7-10 pm  Mon-Fri 2:30-5pm.  Fridays 2-4:30 pm.  226 Shaffer Library
  • Consultant: Director of Writing Services, Mary Mar, will answer faculty questions or provide help designing effective assignments, responding to writing, dealing with students with writing difficulties, etc.
