About the Music major

Union offers a vibrant musical community for students passionate about music. With diverse courses and a wide range of performing ensembles—uncommon at small liberal arts colleges—you can deepen your knowledge and refine your skills.

Our courses include opportunities to develop performance abilities under expert faculty guidance, culminating in final projects. Students can also showcase their talents in faculty-led ensembles, both in groups and as soloists.

Students practicing instruments in the Taylor Music Center

Union’s music facilities, housed in the Taylor Music Center, reflect its status as an all-Steinway school. The centerpiece is the Fred L. Emerson Foundation Auditorium, an intimate performance venue.
