DEPARTMENT: Political Science
About the Political Science major
Political science at Union offers small classes, hands-on learning, and two-term faculty-mentored research projects on topics like political action, art, or public policy.
Students engage with the community, evaluating programs like the Schenectady County Drug Court and conducting research for local organizations.
Union’s Zeta Upsilon chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha hosts events and contributes to The Pi Sigma Alpha Undergraduate Journal of Politics.
The Model United Nations course provides a rigorous, academic simulation of the political process, setting Union apart from club-based programs at other schools.
