About the Psychology major

As a Union College psychology major, you’ll explore behavior and mental processes through diverse courses while gaining practical experience. Internships with organizations such as marketing firms, clinics, and special-needs facilities provide valuable hands-on learning.

Research opportunities abound, from volunteering in faculty-led labs to earning credit or becoming summer fellows. Senior theses enable independent projects, often showcased at the Steinmetz Symposium, with many students co-authoring papers or presenting at conferences.

The Psychology Speaker Series brings top scholars to campus, covering topics like addiction neurobiology and political psychology, with honors students engaging in discussions and presentations.
