We encourage an interview as part of the application process. An interview enhances your application by showing your interest in Union and allowing us to hear more about your academic and extracurricular pursuits. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and to hear about the exciting experiences that await you at Union College.
Interviews are available for high school seniors through January, but should be completed by the following deadlines:
- November 15: Early Decision I, Early Action, Leadership in Medicine
- January 31: Early Decision II, Regular Decision, 3+3 Accelerated Law
Transfer students may complete an interview by the Transfer application deadline for the term in which they are interested.
Interview Options
- Online via Zoom: Weekdays in June-January
- In person on Union's campus: Weekdays in July-August and on select fall Saturdays
Registration is available up to 48 hours in advance:
Looking for a different option to tell us about yourself?
Applicants are welcome to send a Glimpse video via the InitialView platform. Glimpse is an opportunity to create and share a 60-90 second video that helps us get to know you better. This option is only available for U.S. students attending U.S. high schools. For consideration in Union's admissions process, Glimpse videos must be submitted by Nov. 15 for Early Decision I and Early Action and Jan. 31 for Early Decision II and Regular Decision.
A note for international students
Interviews are required for all Chinese and Vietnamese applicants. Interviews allow us to learn more about you and how you will contribute to our campus, which can play an important role in the final admissions decision. The following options are available: InitialView or Vericant.
Select others will be asked to complete an interview after initial review of your application. Instructions for scheduling an interview will be added to your applicant portal at that time.
