Alumnus

Use "alumnus" (plural "alumni") when referring to a person who identifies as male. Use "alumna" (plural "alumnae") when referring to someone who identifies as female. Use "alumni" when referring to a mixed-gender group. The colloquial "alum" is considered gender-neutral. Avoid “alumni/ae.” Never say "an alumni."
