Michele graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a double major in psychology and sociology, and a double minor in child advocacy and cognition, logic and language. She completed her master’s in mental health counseling at University at Albany and served as the graduate assistant for Leader's in Service. After completing her practicum and internship at higher institutions, she continues to enjoy working with the diverse college student population here at Union. Some of her areas of clinical interest include identity development, athletics, depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, and trauma. Her approach to treatment is eclectic, molding the therapeutic process to meet the needs of student. As the triage coordinator she oversees and assigns continued care for all new students as well as students in crisis.
Michele continues to explore her research interests and has presented her research on the psychosocial factors affecting weight gain in first year college students as well as on gender stereotypes.
Michele enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, music, sports, and baking.
