Mike Vecchione '17 was recently featured in a wickedlocal.com article. He shared his pro hockey story in the context of the Stanley Cup finals.

Kate White '72 and Mary John Boylan '72 were featured in a Daily Gazette article, "Union College marks 50 years since first women graduated." White was Union's Commencement keynote speaker this year.

Pete Sally '04 was recently featured in the Boston Globe in the article, "Local venture fund aims to diversify health tech industry." The story focused on Seae Ventures, of which Sally is a founder.

Larissa L. Knapp '91 was recently named the executive assistant director of the National Security Branch at FBI Headquarters in Washington. She will oversee all national security investigative and intelligence operations.

Jamaluddin Aram ’17 of Afghanistan, a writer, documentary filmmaker and producer, has secured a book deal from Scribner, Canada, for his debut novel, “Nothing Good Ever Happens in Wazirabad on a Wednesday.”

Senator Jim Tedisco '72 (R,C-Glenville) recently honored 11th grade and 5th grade students from the Greater Johnstown School District. They who won first place in the New York State Odyssey of the Mind finals, qualifying them for the World Finals at Iowa State University.

The town of Rotterdam (N.Y.) recently hired a former Guilderland comptroller, Marcus Montgomery '08, to oversee its budget and finance department.

Adam Hall '21 recently received a Tau Beta Pi Fellowship. The award will fund one year of his doctoral education in mechanical engineering at the University of California, San Diego, where he plans to study ocean turbulence modeling.

Stony Brook University Hospital has appointed Dr. Jonathan M. Buscaglia '97 chief medical officer. He joined Stony Brook Medicine in 2008 as medical director of endoscopy.
