Congratulations to the 2022 Triota Honor Society inductees. This is the first year we have held an in-person induction ceremony since 2019.
Iota Iota Iota (Triota) is a national honor society that began in 1985 and has grown to 108 chapters nationwide in the last 36 years. The Greek letter, Iota, was selected for the name to represent the three goddesses Inanna, an ancient Mesopotamian goddess associated with love, beauty, sex, war, justice and political power; her Akkadian counterpart, Ishtar, and Isis, the ancient Egyptian goddess of fertility, motherhood, magic, death, healing, and rebirth.
Triota strives to maintain feminist values that encourage diversity, equity, inclusion, egalitarianism, and a supportive academic environment for all students.
As members of the Delta Gamma Chapter of Triota, Union students have the opportunity to connect with other students to build a lasting community focused on feminist academics. This includes helping the honor society grow and creating a positive impact on the Union College campus community through organizing events, presenting at conferences, or partnering with other student organizations / departments.
