Erin Schroth '11 is the Kenney Community Center’s Volunteer of the Week.
Schroth, a psychology major and anthropology minor, is the coordinator of the Junior Science Program. About 10 local elementary students meet on Thursdays to learn about scientific concepts through experiments. To maintain the students’ attentiveness, Schroth does a variety of activities throughout the hour-long sessions, including lectures, activities, experiments and videos.
“Erin has done an awesome job with this program over the last two years,” said Janet Sweeney, program coordinator at the Kenney Center. “Her enthusiasm, creativity and dedication have made Junior Science a great success.”
Schroth is a member of Psi Chi and last summer worked as a brand strategy intern at Meredith Corporation in New York City. After graduation, she plans to work in the marketing field.
