Elite Williams ’13 and Shawn Tangnavarad ’13 are this week's
Volunteers of the Week at the Kenney Community Center.
Williams and Tangnavarad served as co-coordinators of the center’s service-themed pre-orientation program, Community Experience. Fifty first-year students came to Union three days early and volunteered at several sites in Schenectady. In addition to volunteering, students had the opportunity to learn about the city by visiting local restaurants and attractions. Williams and Tangnavarad were student leaders in the program last year and participated in the first Community Experience Pre-Orientation in 2009.
