Students, faculty and staff can pitch in this weekend and
help bring a Thanksgiving dinner to those in need in Schenectady with Turkey Palooza.
Food and decoration preparations will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Upper Class Dining Hall in Reamer Campus Center. Then, at 2 p.m., the group will move to the Schenectady City Mission to set up the dining hall and deliver the food. The community meal will start at 3 p.m. Volunteers are welcome at any time to volunteer in with preparations or serving the dinner.
The event is organized by Campus Kitchens.
"Turkey Palooza is our biggest event of the year so far, and it is a great way for students, faculty, staff, and community members to all get together to work on something great," said Tori Chee ’13, organizer of Campus Kitchens. She added that the group is expecting to serve about 300 people on Saturday.
