Nick Brenn ’14 is this week’s Kenney Community Center’s Volunteer of the Week.
Brenn led a workshop for middle and high school students in the Science & Technology Entry Program (STEP) to teach them about electrical circuits. With the help of Sebastian Nilsson ’14, Vishnu Dosakayala ’14, and James Hendrick, lecturer in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, these students had the opportunity to make their own flashlights and work in a college engineering lab.
“Nick is eager to pass along his passion for engineering to younger students,” said Janet Sweeney, program director, “The students had a lot of fun in his workshop and we hope to work with him again.”
Brenn also spends time volunteering at Octopus' Garden where he helped build a solar panel. He is from Kennett Square, Pa., and is an electrical engineering major with minors in German and nanotechnology. He is also a member of the varsity men's crew team.
