Students filled College Park Hall Tuesday to learn about career, postgraduate and internship opportunities after leaving Union.
It was the largest career fair to date, with 75 employers. About 450 students mingled with representatives from companies such as Teach for America, Peace Corps, General Electric, Price Chopper, Proctors Theater and many others. Vermont Law, Albany College of Pharmacy, Fordham University and others were available to discuss graduate school opportunities.
“It was a well organized, useful event,” said Gui Bin Zhang ’12, an economics major. “It had a good representation of opportunities, whether for summer internships, jobs or post-grad education.”
“If you went not knowing specifically what you were looking for or interested in, there were a lot of options at your disposal,” said Alexandra Mailman ’12, a mathematics major.
“Employers were very pleased with their student interactions and commented about how prepared students were to engage with them, having researched the company and positions ahead of time,” said Rochelle Caruso, senior associate director of Becker Career Center.
