This week’s Kenney Community Center’s Volunteer of the Week is Jennifer Rodriguez ’12.
Having volunteered as a tutor with the COCOA House for the past four years, Rodriguez is now president of the club. She is also part of a group of students who host prospective Union students on overnight visits. She also donates her time as a volunteer tutor for the Sociology Department and is one of four managers for the Affiliates program. She also volunteered at the John Calvin Toll Day of Service, the Martin Luther King Day Program and the STEP Science Bowl.
“Jennifer is a credible witness of how much positive change one young person can do for a community,” said Sabel Bong, executive director of COCOA House.
Originally from Queens, N.Y., Rodriguez is a sociology major.
