This week’s Kenney Community Center’s Volunteer of the Week is Amanda Louis ’12.
As the house manager for Wells House, the community service oriented theme house on campus, Louis dedicates much of her time to volunteering. Louis has participated in and helped to organize events such as Spooktacular, as well as collaborated with other service groups for projects like Relay for Life, John Calvin Toll Day and UCARE Day.
Louis is also the co-vice president of Project Sunshine, and has also spent three years as a tutor for the SAIL program. Louis is also president of the Healthcare Management Society, a club through Union Graduate College.
“Amanda has been tremendously helpful to the Kenney Center in her role as house manager at Wells House,” said Janet Sweeney, program coordinator. “It’s always a pleasure to work with her!”
Originally from Rye Brook, N.Y., Louis is a member of the Leadership in Medicine program and a biology and Chinese major. She will be attending Albany Medical College in the fall.
