Peter Donnelly ‘14 is this week’s Kenney Community Center’s Volunteer of the Week.
During spring break, Donnelly volunteered at an Intervarsity Christian Fellowship program known as the New York City Urban Project where he learned about the intersection of faith and social justice issues, such as fair trade, sex and labor. He volunteers at the City Mission of Schenectady as part of a service learning course, “Anthropology of Poverty.”
“In my life, it’s the place where I have found friends who love and care about each other, due to their love of Christ. It’s been awesome to watch the fellowship grow and develop over the past two years, and I’m excited to see how we will continue to engage with campus,” said Donnelly, a leader of the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship.
He is also a resident advisor and works in the Student Activities office. Originally from Westmoreland, N.Y., he is an anthropology major.
