Virtual U is hosting a Maker’s Faire during common lunch Thursday, May 31 in the Wold Atrium.
The event, styled after fairs popping up nationwide, features students, faculty and staff and the projects they have made.
"We are demonstrating some of the things that people at Union like to do,” said Victor Pagan '12, president of Virtual U. “This ranges from artistic crafts, such as ceramics and knitting, to research-based work and departmental projects.”
Some of the presenters include Nancy Niefield, ceramics instructor, who will be doing a throwing demonstration; members of Virtual U will show how to build circuits; Laura MacManus-Spencer, assistant professor of chemistry, and other faculty will run a needleworking table.
