Deidre Hill Butler, associate professor of sociology and director of the Africana Studies program, was a featured speaker at an Albany presentation for the Underground Railroad History Project of the Capital Region. Her talk focused on continuing inequities in America and society’s response.

Bradley Hays, assistant professor of political science, appeared on WAMC radio after the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) was struck down by the United States Supreme Court. Michele Angrist, professor and chair of the Political Science Department, discussed America’s relationship to Syria and how foreign affairs officials could proceed in the future in interviews that appeared on WNYT and WRGB in the Capital Region.

Stephen Berk, the Henry and Sally Schaffer Professor of Holocaust and Jewish Studies, was featured in a story on WNYT in Albany about American military action in Syria. Berk questioned the area’s congressional representation and their stance on how to proceed in the region.
