Salman Syed '14 is this week's Kenney Community Center Volunteer of the Week.
This past summer, Salman volunteered to help rising high school seniors in Union's Science & Technology Entry Program (STEP) develop research and public speaking skills. Together, their hard work culminated in a presentation about neurological disorders. He also volunteers at a local clinic, helping the primary care physicians at the practice migrate to electronic health records.
The Niskayuna, N.Y. native is a chemistry and philosophy double major in the Leadership in Medicine program. He is involved with the Biology Club, which will be presenting a workshop to middle and high school students in STEP this term. He also works at the Kenney Center tutoring local youth in math and SAT test preparation.
