Julianne Quinn ’15 is the Kenney Community Center’s Volunteer of the Week.
An art history and sociology double major from Slingerlands, N.Y., Quinn serves as the student leader for a weekly art class taught at the Hamilton Hill Arts Center in Schenectady where she helps students with art projects and spends time with them.
“It is great because it is not really about us anymore; the students that now go are there for the kids because we have a relationship with them and they depend on us to come every week,” she said.
On campus, Quinn is a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority, the Student Volunteer Committee, U-ReBloom and the “Before I Die” Board. For the last four summers, she has traveled to Lourdes, France to volunteer at a Catholic pilgrimage for the sick.
