Colleagues and friends of the late William “Bill” Thomas are invited to celebrate his life Friday, May 30, at 5 p.m. in Breazzano House.
Thomas, professor emeritus of French and retired director of International Programs, died at his home in Schenectady, June 11, 2013. He was 72.
In keeping with the spirit of Thomas, the event will be a relaxed social occasion featuring food and drink and “Bill stories,” said Byron Nichols, professor emeritus of Political Science
An artistic moment in Thomas’s memory is being created by Charles Batson, professor of French.
“We are calling this a ‘soiree of memories’ of Bill’s students and colleagues,” Nichols said. “In addition to spontaneous comments, you are invited to share your own recollections and feelings about Bill ahead of time, which we will fold into a single electronic presentation to be available for viewing during the reception.”
