Union alumni and others from the College were key witnesses and makers of history in the Civil War era.
Their stories are told in an exhibit, “Profound and Poignant: Union College Connections to the Civil War Era.”

through 2015 in the first-floor Dyson Gallery of the Nott Memorial. The exhibit is free and open to the public. The building is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“Profound and Poignant” is co-curated by Andrea Foroughi, associate professor of history, and Tom Werner, the Florence B. Sherwood Professor of Physical Sciences Emeritus and chair of Union’s Notables Committee.
