Nine Union students recently participated in the 29th annual National Conference on Undergraduate Research at Eastern Washington University near Spokane, Wash. The students shared their research results with conference attendees either through oral or poster presentations.
Participating students and their majors included Salina Ali ‘15 (physics), Brina Dillon ’15 (biology), Yaqi Gao ’15 (economics and mathematics), Timothy Hobart ‘15 (history and political science), Hristina Milojevic ’15 (mechanical engineering), Lucas Rivers ’15 (political science and Chinese), Ben Saperstein ’15 (mechanical engineering), Eric Ward ’15 (biology), and Kenneth White ’16 (political science and economics). Younghwan Song, associate professor of economics, accompanied the students presenters to this year’s conference.
NCUR student participants present research and creative works across all disciplines and represent colleges and universities throughout the U.S. Union has hosted the NCUR conference twice.
