Several Union College publications, a website and video received awards recently.
The College’s online view book, “Thrive at the Intersections,” won gold at the Education Digital Marketing Awards, sponsored by Higher Education Marketing Report. The piece was conceived by Zehno Cross Media Communications in New Orleans.
The Union team included Ken George, web director; Tina Lincer, associate director of Communications and Marketing; and Gail Glover, senior director of Communications and Marketing. Collaborating on the site was Ann Fleming Brown, director of Admissions; David Glasser, senior enrollment systems analyst; and Katherine DeSieno, senior assistant dean of admissions. Kathy Cain, principal, leads Zehno Communications.
The College won several awards at the 30th Annual Educational Advertising Awards. Union won a gold for the online view book in the Website category and silver in the New Media category. In the Direct Mail category, the College took home silver for Admissions postcards. In the Annual Report category, the College also won silver for the 2013-14 President’s Report. In addition to the team of employees listed above, Charlie Casey, senior editor of publications, oversaw the production of the President’s Report. Design was by 2K Designs in Clifton Park, N.Y. led by Kris Fitzgerald.
Finally, an Admissions video featuring Wall Street Journal personal technology columnist Joanna Stern ’06 won bronze at the Addy Awards in Knoxville, Tenn. Video production was managed by Christen Gowan, assistant director of media relations and social media, in conjunction with freelance partners, The Frame Theory of Knoxville, Tenn., led by Brandon Ward and Dave Stanley.
