The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation recently announced that Nikhil Srivastava '05 is a recipient of the 2016 Sloan Research Fellowship, which honors early-career scientists and scholars whose achievements and potential identify them as the next generation of scientific leaders.
Srivastava is an assistant professor of mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley, where his research interests include random matrices and the geometry of polynomials. At Union, he was involved in Phi Beta Kappa, Shatki and Steinmetz Symposium.
