Several Union College publications and other materials were recognized recently by the Higher Education Marketing Report’s 31st Annual Educational Advertising Awards competition.
Union won a gold in the Single Newspaper Ad category for an ad that ran in a special supplement in the Chronicle of Higher Education.
Union won several awards for admissions pieces. It took home a Silver award in the Total Recruitment category for a package that included print and online viewbooks, brochures and brand postcards. It won also Silver in the Brochure category for a search piece titled “Think Beyond Majors” and Silver for a brochure targeted to parents of prospective students, “Parents Know: Students Thrive at the Intersections.” An Admissions viewbook titled “What Inspires You?” received a Merit award.

Collaborating from the Admission Office were Ann Fleming Brown, director of Admissions; David Glasser, senior enrollment systems analyst; and Katherine DeSieno, senior assistant dean of admissions. All of the enrollment materials were designed by Zehno Cross Media Communications in New Orleans, La.
The College also took home two Bronze awards for pieces for the International Programs Office: a study abroad brochure and an information sessions poster. Lincer collaborated on both pieces with Lara Atkins, director of International Programs. Designs were by Tessa Cochetti of Glenville, N.Y., whose design firm bears her name.
In the Annual Report category, the College won a Silver for the 2014-15 President’s Report.
