The College’s annual Safety Day will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday in front of the Reamer Campus Center.
Representatives from the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control as well as local police and fire departments will be on hand to give safety tips. Students can learn how to use a fire extinguisher and visit the smoke trailer to learn how to safely escape a simulated fire. A Life-Net helicopter and its crew will fly onto campus and answer questions.
The live mock dorm room burn will start at 1 p.m. Participants who complete two training tasks will get a Safety Day t-shirt.
The rain date is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 30.
