Timothy Stablein, assistant professor of sociology, is the lead author of a recent article in Journal of Adolescent Health. “The Catch to Confidentiality: The Use of Electronic Health Records in Adolescent Health Care” is co-authored with colleagues from Dartmouth College and Christopher DiCapua ’17.
Carol Weisse, professor of psychology and director of Health Professions, gave a talk at the national meeting of the Association for Death Education and Counseling in Pittsburgh. “Residential Homes for the Dying: Unique Training in End-of-Life Care” is co-authored by colleagues from Skidmore College. The group has been collaborating on a project sponsored by a NY6 Upstate Global Collective grant.
Kurt Hollocher, the John and Jane Wold Professor of Geology, and David Gillikin, associate professor of geology, were honored with society fellowships from the Geological Society of America. Each year, the GSA honors several dozen members with fellowships in recognition of their contributions to the geosciences.
Deidre Hill Butler, associate professor of sociology, and Alicia Richardson, associate professor at Schenectady County Community College, were featured on “Do the Next Good Thing.” The women meet regularly to discuss their careers as black female instructors in higher education.
