An article by Rajashree Mazumder, assistant professor of history, was published in Modern Asian Studies. The article, “Illegal Border Crossers and Unruly Citizens: Burma-Pakistan-Indian borderlands from the 19th to the mid-20th centuries,” explores the historical origin of the Rohingya refugee crisis in the borderland regions of these nation-states in South and Southeast Asia.
