David Ogawa, associate professor of art history, was a featured speaker at the American Academy in Rome’s regular series, “Shoptalk.”

Jennifer Fredricks, dean of Academic Departments and Programs, co-edited the Handbook of Student Engagement Interventions: Working with Disengaged Youth with colleagues at the University of Georgia and University of Minnesota. She was lead author on four chapters including, “Interventions for Student Engagement: Overview and State of the Field,” "Profiles of Disengagement,” “Spilling Over: How Participating in Organized After-school Activities Predicts Engagement,” and “Conclusion: State of Engagement Interventions.”

The YWCA of Northeastern New York will honor Karen Radley, assistant manager of the bookstore, with one of its Outstanding Volunteer awards. Awards will be presented at the organization’s annual meeting on May 21.
