In her role as co-president of the MLA Association of Departments of Foreign Languages, Megan Ferry, professor of Chinese and Asian Studies, presented at ADFL 2025 Road Map and Action Plan about the future of language education in higher education at the ADFL Summer Seminar West. She also directed a workshop on managing small language programs, as well as gave two poster presentations in a session on innovative courses that are interdisciplinary and/or involve the community. They are titled “Project-based Language Learning: Climate Change & Me” and “Moving from Disciplinary Epistemologies to Integration in a Co-taught Course on Dams and Development: Languages and Engineering.”
