Catching up with...Cheryl Rockwood

Publication Date

Cheryl Rockwood, head trainer and director of student athlete programming, joined the Union community in 1987.

She may be best known as a familiar presence at games, where she occasionally takes the field of play to aid a downed player.

Less publicly, along with athletic trainers Jill Crary-Gracz, Brandon Perry and Erik Ackerman, she runs the athletic training room in Achilles Center, where hundreds of student athletes come each year for treatment and rehabilitation.

Since the return to campus, Cheryl and her colleagues from Athletics have been staffing the COVID testing center in Memorial Fieldhouse.
