Retired technical professional
I really enjoyed my time with WRUC. I had fun and also learned a lot. During my four years at Union, I had several jobs at the radio station: hosting the Sunday morning show, running the schedule on the GE computer and doing some sales.
After Union, I joined the Peace Corps and taught physics at a university in Malaysia. Next, I moved to Tucson, Ariz. for graduate school and earned an M.S. in physics and another in computer science. I worked for 16 years with IBM on firmware for library devices. I switched to Raytheon and just retired as an engineering fellow last December after over 22 years working on many cutting-edge defense programs.
