celebrates a century

I played two roles at WRUC, most noticeably as a DJ. My on-air handle, "Zorba the Greek," was handed to me by Joel Blumenthal and it stuck.

But I also, with Bill Kern '69, mostly re-wired the whole station during one summer break. I also spent a LOT of time in Saratoga Springs getting the multiple transmitters installed to cover the spread-out campus at Skidmore. I did a few stints in the news business (ABC Radio News), then drifted into publishing, where I carved out a technology role. (I mounted my first web server on the Internet around 1992.)

I eventually retired as director of electronic publishing for McGraw-Hill Professional Books.
