FIRST APP YOU LOOK AT IN THE MORNING: I always used to check the weather app to see what the day had in store and to get some inspiration on what to wear. However, working at home since March has changed this routine quite a bit, and now I start by scanning the headline news and opening Gmail.

ONE BOOK YOU HAVE READ MULTIPLE TIMES: I can’t recall having read a book more than once because I love to read and always have something new on the docket. I’d say “Hillbilly Elegy” by J.D. Vance is a book I’ve recommended the most to others in recent years. I’m also a huge fan of “Game of Thrones” and have been waiting patiently for the sixth novel in this series, “The Winds of Winter.”

BEST ADVICE YOU EVER RECEIVED: You can understand the world, and other people, much better once you allow yourself to see the world through their eyes and appreciate their vantage point.

FAVORITE SPOT ON CAMPUS: You can’t beat Library Plaza on a sunny day. I love the energy of the people, the beauty of the Nott Memorial and the inspiration I get from knowing that the students will go on to accomplish so much once they leave these grounds.

GO-TO BREAKFAST: Siggi’s yogurt with Gatherer’s granola. However, from my days as a student, I’ve always enjoyed the occasional visit to Peter Pause across from campus.

NETFLIX OR AMAZON: Luckily, I don’t have to choose, but if I did, I’ll go with Netflix because they have way more content. A little HBO never hurt anyone, either.

FAVORITE PODCAST: I might be the only one, but I’ve never listened to a podcast. However, one of my favorite shows on Amazon was “Homecoming,” which I understand was adapted from a hit podcast.

ONE SKILL YOU WISH YOU HAD: Being fluent in Danish. I understand that you can’t translate everything, i.e. “hygge.” So if I had one wish, it would be to understand more languages so that I could better understand their culture and people.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR PANDEMIC DIVERSION/ACCOMPLISHMENT: In September, I started a food blog with my younger brother on Instagram. In about three months, we had close to 2,000 followers, and we truly enjoy connecting with other foodies and folks in the restaurant industry. Follow us at ThroughYourEyes518!

BEST PART OF YOUR DAY: Time spent with family; there’s nothing I love more.

LITTLE-KNOWN FACT ABOUT YOU: In the summer of middle school, I learned how to cut hair, and since then, I’ve been cutting my own hair and helping the occasional friend in need.
