Deidre Hill Butler, associate professor of sociology and director of faculty diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging/academic diversity officer, presented "Black Religious Womanist Consciousness in Motion in Suburban New England" at the National Association of African Studies and Affiliates Conference. The presentation was based on a previously published article she is currently revising.
Tommaso Gazzarri, associate professor of classics, delivered a paper virtually at the University of California, Los Angeles as part of its Center for Early Global Studies seminar series. The talked was titled, “Green like a woman: Gender expression and erotic matters.”
