The College is launching its ninth annual ADAY4U fundraising challenge on Tuesday, May 3 and Wednesday, May 4.
Participants are encouraged to make a gift to the College and show their school spirit for Union by using the #ADAY4U hashtag on social media. If Union reaches 1,795 donors, David Henle '75 and Mark Walsh '76 will donate an extra $100,000 to the Union Fund. Also, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Title IX, if Athletics receives 500 donations, an additional $50,000 will be unlocked to support women's sports at Union.
"On #ADAY4U, we celebrate our shared garnet pride and demonstrate the power of the Union community by giving to the Union Fund," said Samantha Coons, director of annual giving. "For many students the pandemic has increased the need for financial aid and other necessary resources supported through the Union Fund. When you make a donation, of any amount, you are helping to fill the gap between what students pay and what it costs to provide a world class Union education."
Last year, more than 1,900 Union alumni, families, faculty, staff, students and friends contributed over $700,000 to the Union Fund, Athletics, scholarships and other programs and student activities.
