Capital Region Classical presents MacArthur grant-winning pianist Jeremy Denk Sunday, Jan. 19, at 3 p.m. in Memorial Chapel. The program features works by women composers spanning 200 years, from Clara Schumann to Meredith Monk.
These are followed by works of Schumann (C-major Fantasie, Op. 17) and Brahms (Klavierstücke, Op. 119).

Denk is one of America’s foremost pianists, proclaimed by the New York Times as “a pianist you want to hear no matter what he performs.”
He has performed frequently at Carnegie Hall, and in recent years has worked with the Chicago Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony and other orchestras. He has performed multiple times at the BBC Proms and Klavierfestival Ruhr, and appeared in such halls as the Köln Philharmonie, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and Boulez Saal in Berlin. He has also performed extensively across the UK.
He joins an exciting lineup of internationally renowned artists in the concert series’ 2024-25 season.
