Two economists, two teaching jobs in different countries, one big commute and a whole lot of cooking. That’s how life adds up these days for Dong (Carl) Cheng, the John D. MacArthur Assistant Professor of Economics, and his wife, Jun (Bean) Zhao.
You could say Alicia Dang, assistant professor of economics, is seasonally adjusted. She grew up in Vietnam and lived all over the globe before settling in Schenectady.
Tomas Dvorak, professor of economics, joined Union in 2002. His expertise is in using data to make better decisions. He lives in a newly empty nest in Latham with his wife, Karen. Their two children, Sam and Sophie, recently departed for college.
