ELE 2025 features the broad theme of Engineering and Society. We invite podium presentations (15 minutes, followed by panel Q&A), poster presentations, and workshop proposals on topics that include, but are not limited to, the following:
The symposium offers a friendly environment in which to showcase work in progress. Presentation of a paper or poster is not a requirement for attending this symposium, and we encourage attendance from all interested students, faculty, staff, and administrators. Space is limited, however, and early registration is strongly encouraged.
The 2025 ELE symposium is organized under the umbrella of Union College’s Templeton Institute, whose mission is to integrate engineering and computer science with the traditional liberal arts. We thus extend a special welcome to our colleagues in the humanities, arts, and social sciences who are interested in establishing closer ties to engineering and computer science.
Please use this link for registration. If you will be delivering a podium or poster presentation, you can submit an abstract for review via this link as well. If you would like to propose a symposium workshop, please email the conference organizers at templeton@union.edu
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Courtyard by Marriott-Schenectady at Mohawk Harbor at the discounted rate of $184 per night. The hotel is located less than a mile from our campus. Free shuttle service will be provided during the symposium. Please use this link to make hotel reservations. The final day to reserve at the discounted hotel rate for the symposium is August 12, 2025.
