Research interests
My research draws techniques and questions from the field of Commutative Algebra and applies them to objects of interest to the field of Algebraic Number Theory. In particular, my research has largely focused on factorization in orders within algebraic number fields. Related to this question is the idea that, given certain properties, we can often draw conclusions about a new, unexplored ring from what is already known about a simpler, more familiar ring. I am currently looking into certain relationships between rings and how they might lead factorization properties to be maintained or predictably change.
