The College’s Department of Music is sponsoring nine events between mid-May and June 1.

“Religion and the Harmony Business: After 9/11, More is Less,” is Monday, May 15, at 5 p.m. in the Nott Memorial. It is free and open to the public.

The production will be staged in the Yulman Theater May 17-19 at 7:30 p.m., May 20 at 2:30 p.m. and May 21 at 1 p.m.

Sami Steigmann, a Holocaust survivor from Czernowitz, in what is now Ukraine, will speak Monday, May 8, at 5 p.m. in Old Chapel.

The Visual Arts Department’s inaugural Art Fair will be held in conjunction with Open Studios May 3, 4:30-6:30 p.m., throughout the Feigenbaum Center for Visual Arts.

Tim Olsen, professor of music and leader of the 16-piece Tim Olsen Big Band, will perform a program of original jazz and arrangements on Sunday, April 23, at 3 p.m. at Robb Alley in Proctors Theater, downtown Schenectady.

Dress historian and forensic garment analyst Amber Butchart will give a virtual illustrated talk to the Women in Ancient Rome class., Monday, April 17, at 3:05 p.m.

The Union College Chamber Singers will participate in performances of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony on Saturday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 23, at 3 p.m. at the Troy Music Hall.

The College’s Department of Music will host a celebration of Hilary Tann's life on Saturday, April 29, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Taylor Music Center, Emerson Auditorium.
