Professor Amanuel participated in the 2020 American Physical Society (APS) medal ceremony and leadership meeting in Washington, D.C. Professor Amanuel and other APS leaders visited the legislative offices of Senators Gillibrand and Schumer and Representatives Brindisi, Tonko, Zeldin and Katko to advocate for an increase in federal research spending, including the support of the Keep STEM Talent Act of 2019.
