Carol Weisse, the Ronald M. Obenzinger Professor of Psychology and director of Health Professions, gave a talk “Engaging Students as Caregivers to Hospice Patients in Community-Run Residential Care Homes,” at The End of Life Experience Third Global Inclusive Interdisciplinary Conference.
Mary Carroll ’86, the Dwane W. Crichton Professor of Chemistry, was a featured speaker at the inaugural meeting of the New York Capital Region Student Chapter of the Society for Applied Spectroscopy in December. Carroll, a longtime SAS member, presented a talk titled “Building and Sustaining a Personally and Professionally Rewarding Career.”

Christopher Chandler, assistant professor of music, gave a presentation and roundtable discussion on his generative music software on composing with technology at the Spatialization, Orchestration, and Perception Forum hosted by McGill University and IRCAM. Also, his composition, "a thing of dream and mist," for soprano saxophone and electronics was awarded second prize in the third edition of the International New Vision Composition Competition.
