Ali Hamed, assistant professor of mechanical engineering, has published in Physical Review Fluids. "Flow organization in the near wake of isolated and sheltered two-dimensional bar roughness elements" is co-authored by Christopher O'Brien ’21, Adam Hall ’21, Ryan Gallary ’22, Joshua DaRosa ’22, Quinlan Goddard ’22 and Bailey McAtee ’24.

Mary K. Carroll ’86, the Dwane W. Crichton Professor of Chemistry, and Ann M. Anderson, the Agnes S. MacDonald Professor of Mechanical Engineering, have authored an invited, peer-reviewed paper, "Twenty years of aerogel research at an undergraduate institution," in a special 30th anniversary issue of the Journal of Sol-Gel Science and Technology. The paper presents a retrospective of the cross-disciplinary work in the Union College Aerogel Laboratory.
