Jewish Studies minor

As a Union College Jewish Studies minor, you will examine Jewish culture, history, language and religion, from ancient to medieval to modern times, from the Diaspora to Israel.

You will explore courses as diverse as the American Jewish Experience, the Arab-Israeli Conflict, the Shoah in Film, Middle East Politics and Jewish Women Writers. And as part of our program, you'll be required to learn Hebrew, either Biblical or modern.

Those who minor in Jewish Studies might be interested in pursuing a Holocaust History mini-term, which focuses on Holocaust and World War II history, mainly in the Polish cities of Warsaw and Krakow.
