Department of Theater and Dance
Christine Geren began her training with Darlene Myers and the Myers Ballet School/ Northeast Ballet Company. Supported by dance and academic scholarships, she earned a BA in Dance from Mercyhurst College while also performing lead roles with The Lake Erie Ballet in The Nutcracker, Balanchine’s Serenade, and Alice in Wonderland. Ms. Geren was a principal dancer with the Albany Berkshire Ballet for 18 years, company dancer with the Northeast Ballet and guest artist with the Ajkun Ballet Theatre. Her repertoire includes Paula Weber's Carmina Burana, and Madeline Cantarella Culpo's The Rockwell Suites, as well as principal roles in Mary Margaret Talmi's Nocturnes, Philip Jerry's Our Town and Madeline Cantarella Culpo's Caprice and The Nutcracker with ABB and Chiara Ajkun’s Le Corsaire and Giselle pas de deux with Ajkun Ballet Theatre. Ms. Geren is also certified under Romana's Pilates for Universal Pilates Mat and Apparatus Training and has over 7 years experience teaching Pilates.
