Biography
Jasmine Roth is a director and choreographer using performance to investigate and witness ritual, agency, healing, and change. They are joining the Union faculty after three years as a John Wells Directing Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University. Before Carnegie Mellon, Jasmine worked for Arizona Theatre Company for five years serving as the Director of Education for the last two. During her tenure, she founded ATC Teen to provide free, accessible, and equitable theatre education focusing on the empowerment of teen artists, ran a flagship of TCG's Veteran Playwriting Project, deepened community partnerships, and expanded education programming to adult artists and community members. Jasmine previously studied theatre and dance at Union College in upstate NY, where she graduated Summa Cum laude.
